Strangely enough what you are looking at is not unique. That concept can be done with any trampoline shape or size. Have a look at this blog I wrote on this exact subject:
I have a round trampoline, and I really enjoy the bounce. I noticed that a lot of gymnasts use rectangular trampolines, and I wonder why? I also have seen that rectangular trampolines seem to be expensive, why do they cost so much more?
Rectangular ones have a different setup, and you have more control over the bounce. You can find the difference in more detail at http://www.trampoline-reviews.net/
The answer is simple. go to: http://www.trampolinesafety.com/round-vs-rectangular-trampoline The answer is right here on this very website. We are getting a alley oop rectangular one. PS: We are getting it because you can jump higher! We got it from swings n things. ( its on the dealers list) Happy jumpings!!
Most rectangular trampolines are quite large, and they require a lot of springs compared to round trampolines. Also, they require a lot more strength in the frame because the long straight sections can flex more easily than the curved frame of a round trampoline.
